ABOUT

The Karen Toland Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of Karen Toland, whose vision and dedication were instrumental in shaping Camp Habitat’s programs into what they are today. Karen played a key role in developing the camp’s curriculum, especially the preschool programs, and devoted countless hours to leading the backpacking trips that many former participants credit with positively shaping their lives.

This scholarship fund helps ensure that children who have never before attended Camp Habitat can experience this transformative program. Each year, the fund will support two full scholarships, opening the door for young people to build self-confidence, deepen their understanding of nature, and experience the joy and wonder that Camp Habitat has offered to more than 5,000 children since its inception.
