PLANNED GIVING

As a new Friend or a long-standing supporter, you play an essential role in helping Friends of Creamer’s Field carry out its mission of inspiring environmental stewardship and lifelong learning through experience, awareness, appreciation, and conservation of the natural and historic resources of Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge. Your contribution strengthens our free community programs, bolsters our stewardship initiatives, and supports the ongoing enhancement of the Refuge.

Qualified Charitable Distribution

If you are over the age of 73, you can support Friends of Creamer’s Field through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA. These gifts are excluded from your taxable income, and if you have a traditional IRA, they count toward your Required Minimum Distribution. You can contribute up to $100,000 each year from eligible retirement accounts. To make a gift, instruct your IRA administrator to send the distribution directly to Friends of Creamer’s Field.
Here is the information you need for Friends of Creamer's Field to make your IRA distribution.

Consider a Will or Trust Bequest

You can create a lasting legacy by including a bequest in your will that names Friends of Creamer’s Field as a beneficiary or co-beneficiary. This type of planned gift allows you to make a meaningful contribution that will strengthen our ability to share the natural and historical resources of the Refuge for generations to come. Bequests to Friends of Creamer’s Field are not subject to federal estate taxes, and there is no limit to the amount that may be deducted.

We would be truly honored by any bequest, and we will ensure its lasting legacy supports the Refuge’s education, stewardship, and community programs well for generations to come.
