Camp Habitat

We are excited to welcome back Camp Habitat for Summer 2022! Camp Habitat is a nature education & ecology camp for children ages 4-11. Campers learn about the natural history of Interior Alaska through an engaging outdoor education curriculum. They will explore Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge through themes that include plants, animals, birds, fish and human interactions with the environment.

Camp Habitat is sponsored by Friends of Creamer's Field, the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, and the Northern Alaska Environmental Center.

There is a non-refundable $25 registration fee included with all pricing for all programs.

Refund Policy: Once registered, $50 of the tuition for each week of camp your child(ren) is (are) registered for is nonrefundable. If Camp Habitat cancels your program, a full program fee will be refunded. If you withdraw your child(ren) from camp two or more weeks prior to the beginning of the program, you will be refunded 50% of the program fee. No refunds will be granted to those withdrawing from a program within two weeks of the beginning of the program.

Children explore Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge through developmentally appropriate hands-on activities and games. Your kids will experience the natural world with sensory exploration, discovery hikes, ecology-themed games, songs, and creative craft projects.

Day Camp Programs

$250

(Full-Day Program, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Campers learn about the natural history of Interior Alaska through engaging activities, games, hikes, projects, and guest speakers. They will explore the natural world through themes such as plants, animals, birds, fish, habitats, and people & the environment.
