Ways to Help

Volunteer with the Friends of Creamer’s Field!

Volunteers play a vital role in helping us accomplish our mission of “inspiring environmental stewardship and lifelong learning  through experience, awareness, appreciation and conservation of the natural and historic resources of Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge."

We invite you to become a part of our volunteer team! We have volunteer roles to fit every interest and schedule – If the job descriptions below don’t fit your interests, please fill out the volunteer form linked below and we will get in touch with you about other volunteer opportunities with the Friends of Creamer’s Field. We do offer a volunteer training course every spring, Sharing Nature and History at Creamer's Field.  The course spans seven sessions through April and May teaching the perspective volunteers about the history of the former dairy farm and about the complex ecology of the refuge as the seasons transition from winter to spring.

Farmhouse Visitor Center Attendee

Duties include greeting visitors when they arrive at the Visitor Center. Volunteers will inform visitors of activities and opportunities on the refuge, current wildlife sightings, and answer historical questions about the former Creamer's Dairy. Farmhouse attendees will also sell Friends of Creamer’s Field merchandise in the gift shop.

Share about the history, wildlife, refuge management, and current habitats pertaining to Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge by leading interpretive walks on the refuge for local and traveling visitors.

Event Volunteer

Help out with one or multiple programs and events throughout the year! We can always use helping hands to guarantee our events and programs runs smoothly. We are in need of extra hands to help with tables, chairs, and tents with event setup and tear down. Our events are family friendly with plenty of activities for all ages that could use extra help!
